Welcome Baby Jack, Designs I'm Loving Lately & A Summer Cocktail

No. 1 - Welcome Baby Jack!

Steve and I were so happy to welcome baby Jack to the Doxey family on June 22nd. We’ve been juggling the newborn life and taking all the time we can to enjoy this fleeting stage. Being our second time around, we know how quickly it flies by! Margot has been so sweet to Jack and has been adjusting very well to being a big sister. I am so grateful for our amazing Rainsford team for jumping in and allowing me to pull-back over the next few months to focus on our little family.

With the sheer amount of content put out on the internet these days, it often feels like a steady scroll, but every-so-often there is something I call a “scroll stopper” - below are the ones that have stopped me in my tracks lately. Inspired Pieces

No. 3 - Cocktail, Anyone?

It wouldn’t be summer without a sweet summer cocktail recipe! This one is from Jenni Kayne's Pacific Natural book. It's not too sweet and worth the effort. Enjoy!

Here's the recipe:

Rosemary Agave Syrup:
1/2 c. blue agave
1/2 c. water
3 springs rosemary

Combine ingredients in a saucepan and simmer for 5 minutes, allow to cool.

Paloma:
2 c. blanco tequila
1 c. freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
1 c. freshly squeezed lime juice
3/4 c. rosemary agave syrup

Serves 6. Combine tequila, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and rosemary agave syrup in a large pitcher and stir. Garnish with rosemary springs, lime slices, and a grapefruit peel. Enjoy!
