No. 1 - Summer Outside the City

While on maternity leave for the summer I am keeping busy in Toronto and getting adjusted to life with two kids! After my first true week home "alone" without Steve, I knew I needed a change of scenery to mix things up, so I packed up the kids and Penny (our mini-labradoodle) and headed to my parents in the Kawartha's for a few days. Juggling everything for my first solo trip without Steve was a comedy-of-errors (if something could go wrong, it did!), but I got there and had a lovely few days visiting my parents and seeing some friends. Having my mom there to help watch Jack so Margot and I could go on a solo lunch date and get a mani-pedi was the post-partum highlight I needed!

No. 2 - Scalloped Everything

Have you noticed? Scalloped details are everywhere in design these days and I'm loving it. Tailored and preppy is the name of the game in this trend and it's something we are fully on board with. Whether you add it in permanent fixtures, soft goods or accent details - I think this trend is worth adopting.
