Shipping

Where do you ship? 

We ship to Canada and the continental USA (lower 48 states). Some remote locations may be exempt. We do not ship to PO Boxes. If you receive a message that your order cannot be shipped to your address, please email us at hello@rainsfordcompany.com and we can provide a custom quote for you. 

For shipments outside of Canada, customers are responsible for paying any additional shipping fees (i.e. duties, customs, etc.).

We do not charge sales tax outside of Canada.

Lead Times

    Stocked items (decor, pillows, candles, tabletop, etc) are stocked in our Toronto warehouse and ship out within 2-3 business days, arrival time expected in 5-7 business days. 

    Larger items such as rugs, lighting, mirrors, furniture, artwork ship from our distribution centres to you. You will be contacted with an approximate timeframe for delivery. 

    Once your item has shipped you'll receive a tracking number to follow the package. Orders with multiple items may have more than one tracking number with varying arrival dates. Due to COVID delays, we continue to experience longer than usual shipping times for furniture, lighting, mirrors and rugs. Estimated stock dates are very fluid at the moment due to the disruption in supply chain and increased demand for consumer goods. We will work hard to update you on any delays that may occur. We ask for your patience and understanding during this time and we will provide information as soon as it becomes available. 

    Shipping Costs 

    Stocked product orders will receive free shipping on purchases $250+ across Canada (decor, pillows, kitchen & bath, rugs). Additional shipping charges will be automatically calculated based on your location and items in your cart at checkout.  Orders to the USA will be charged a flat rate of $25 CAD for the delivery of stocked product orders. 

    Some oversize pieces may be subject to additional shipping charges due to size and distance. If your order requires extra fees, you will be contacted with a quote for approval. 

    Delivery Options

    Local Pick Up

    Customers who are local to the GTA have the option to pick up stocked items at our South Etobicoke studio for free. At checkout, select "Local Pick-Up" from the delivery dropdown. Once you've received your order confirmation email, hold tight! You'll receive a second email notifying you when we've packed up your order and have it ready to go. Then, swing by our studio at 195 Norseman St, Unit 6 between 10:00am and 4:00pm Monday to Wednesday, 10:00am and 6:00pm Thursday and Friday, Saturday 10am and 10pm to pick up your new goods.

    Standard Delivery

    Our standard delivery option is to the doorstep only. The delivery person will not enter the home or assemble the furniture. Customers living in an apartment or condo building, please note your order will be brought to the lobby only. Please ensure you are comfortable to bring the items into your home and ensure it will fit through your hallways/doorways. 

    White Glove Delivery

    If your item requires white-glove delivery, it will be noted at check-out. This service is available in most areas and includes room of choice, unpacking, minor assembly and garbage removal. Additional charges may apply for rural locations, buildings or or any other complex deliveries. White Glove delivery typically is scheduled for one delivery window. 

    Oversized and heavy items are not guaranteed beyond main floor entry for liability reasons. Please double check weight and measurements prior to ordering. 

    Small and medium sized Items are shipped via Courier (Purolator, UPS, Fedex or Canada Post). 

    Larger and oversized items typically ship with a freight carrier and/or third party delivery company. Carrier or delivery will depend on location.

    Out of Stock Items

    If you purchase an item that is out of stock we will contact you with an estimated restock date. If the date isn't to your liking we will reimburse you 100% and/or suggest a similar in stock item. Please contact us for stock inventory and specific lead times prior to placing your order if needed. 

    Rural Locations

    Please note if your delivery is going a rural or remote location you may be subject to additional shipping charges. We will provide you with a quote prior to fulfilling your order for approval and payment.
