Ever since I was a little girl I have loved how a room can make you feel. Whether it’s the gathering place where you surround yourself with the people you love, or the place you go for a little ‘me time’, it's important that it is a reflection of who you are.
My inspiration... there are many, but first and foremost is my mom. I followed her around for years as she made design decisions about colour, pattern and furniture placement, while my dad helped make her vision come to life with a healthy dose of elbow grease. She taught me the importance of buying quality, how to mix patterns without looking like a crazy cat lady, and most importantly, encouraged me to embrace my own personal style.
After a period focused on travel and adventure with my husband, Steve, and a career rooted in management consulting, I began to recognize a gap in the availability of amazing pieces for our home that I so desired. After much encouragement from my better half, and a gust of moxie from within, Rainsford Company was born in 2017.
We have carefully selected each piece in the collection. In fact, each item must pass the RC test - “would I put this in my house?” Only then, when the answer is 100% yes, will you see it part of the Rainsford Company collection – that is our promise.
