Movie: Home Again
Movies are good for a number of things, but during this uncertain time, they are the perfect escape from the realities of daily life. We don't know about you, but when we watch movies, we spend just as much time looking at the houses as we do watching the story unfold. Movies have a way of allowing us to fall in love with homes the way magazines and the internet can't. They often tie the storyline and the character's persona to the home, pushing us to daydream of beautiful digs (we all remember seeing the Something's Gotta Give house for the first time, don't we?!). Here's a list of the most beautiful homes in movies that may just inspire you to redecorate.
Who wouldn't have their wedding at this beautiful house? It may be forever imprinted in your mind, but we'd argue the basketball court is too.
Chocolate box charm offered in the final scene of this movie when the new happy family spends Christmas morning together.
The steep incline of the street offers classic San Francisco charm.
You can see why this gorgeous home was the target of a break in - traditional charm x 1000.
This Hampton's beach house resulted in a collective gasp from movie watchers. It's no surprise it resulted in a love connection between Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson.
We can thank this plantation-style home for reuniting Noah and Alli. A gorgeous stately southern home.
The perfect cottage for a Christmas escape. We can see why Cameron Diaz had a romance unfold in this charming countryside home.
Reese Witherspoon playing an interior designer in this gorgeous home gave us the perfect mix of California and new traditional decorating vibes.
Kathleen Kelly's upper west side brownstone was something to be admired. The shabby chic interior was so dreamy in the 90s!
We swooned over the kitchen and the interior courtyard of this California bungalow.
